Peter Mook and Rutten

Peter Mook's work, that was distributed by Rutten, is perhaps the most well-known. Many vintage collectors get an instant smile when the recognizable brown box with nothing but the text "Rutten" and the title of the sculpture arrives at their doorstep. These boxes contain sculptures from brands and franchises like Betty Boop, Hanna-Barbera, King Features, Looney Tunes, Paws, The Muppets, Walt Disney, and of course, Warner Bros.

Peter Mook's Collections

With hundreds of sculptures, it is impossible not to build up some collections. For the Looney Tunes, there is a collection of large figurines called Peter Mook's 15 Inch Collection. For Walt Disney, there is not only a collection of large figurines called Peter Mook's Definitive Collection, but also a collection of small figurines called Peter Mook's 5 Inch Collection. For all your favorite cartoon characters in a timeless design, there is Peter Mook's Classic Collection.

Peter Mook's Personal Favorites

During an interview with Peter Mook, we asked him about his personal favorites from the Fingendi, Heissner AG and Rutten collections.

From the Looney Tunes, his favorites are the Lifesize Wile E. Coyote butler and Wile E. Coyote on the rocket. When looking at the Wile E. Coyote butler, it's easy to see why this is his personal favorite.

His favorite Walt Disney sculptures are the white Mickey Mouse Classic and the Mickey Mouse butler. As for Betty Boop, his favorite is the Betty Boop taking a bath statue. Why? Because no one wanted to produce this Betty Boop statue, believing it wouldn't sell, but it ended up being the best-selling statue Peter Mook sculpted during his time with Rutten and Fingendi.

From the Heissner collection, Donald Duck with his lawnmower is Peter Mook's favorite.
