Kevin and Jody Disney Catalog Collectibles and Stained-Glass Lamps

For collectors of stained-glass Disney lamps, light-up display pieces, and limited-edition character lighting, Kevin and Jody’s Disney Catalog work is among their most distinctive output. Kevin and Jody Disney Catalog lamps are not character figures with a lightbulb added — they are sculptural objects designed from the start as illuminated display pieces, where light, glass, base, and character work together as one.

For a broader introduction to the artists behind these pieces, see our article on who Kevin and Jody are.

Disney Catalog, Not Disney Auctions

Kevin and Jody pieces are sometimes discussed together with the wider limited-edition Disney collector market of the early 2000s. That can create confusion. Disney Catalog, Disney Direct, Disney Store, Disney Parks, D23, and Disney Auctions were not the same release channel, and for the lamps specifically, Disney Catalog is the stronger and more accurate label.

Several Kevin and Jody stained-glass lamps were created for Disney Catalog and connected Disney retail channels, including designs for Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Bambi, Fantasia, the Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and Winnie the Pooh.

Jody Daily’s Disney Catalog Lamps

Jody Daily designed several of the Disney Catalog stained-glass lamps that collectors now seek out, including pieces connected with The Little Mermaid, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Fantasia, and the Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

The Little Mermaid lamp is one of the most elegant examples in the series. Its decorative stained-glass shade and sculptural base give the piece more presence than a standard character lamp — closer to a display object than to everyday lighting.

The Cinderella lamp takes that approach further, using the stained-glass shade itself as the storytelling surface. The front panel shows Cinderella’s castle rising against an evening sky of deep blue and dark red, framed by green hillside at the base. Walk around the lamp and the design rewards a closer look — the back of the shade carries a subtle rendering of the carriage, so the full fairy tale unfolds in 360 degrees rather than on a single face. The bronze base continues that storytelling: a sculpted staircase shows Cinderella mid-flight, with the glass slipper left behind on a step above her — the precise moment of the story captured in three dimensions, anchoring the lamp as a complete display piece rather than a lit accessory.

The Bambi Lamp: A Different Visual Register

The Bambi lamp sits slightly apart from the rest of the Disney Catalog lamp series. Where the princess- and fairy-tale lamps lean into stained-glass storytelling and theatrical staging, the Bambi lamp takes a softer and more pastoral direction. Forest detail, gentle colour, and a calmer atmosphere replace the more dramatic shade work of Snow White or Cinderella.

That difference in register is part of why the Bambi lamp appeals to a slightly different collector. It works less as a fairy-tale object and more as a quiet, vintage-style display piece — closer in mood to mid-century animation art than to storybook theatre. For collectors of Bambi pieces specifically, or of Disney lamp work that does not lean princess-heavy, it is one of the more distinctive options in the Kevin and Jody catalog.

Fantasia and Darker Display Pieces

Not every Kevin and Jody lamp was soft or storybook-like. Their Fantasia-related Chernabog lamp shows another direction entirely. With stained-glass wings, glowing eyes, and an illuminated mountain-like base, the lamp has a darker and more theatrical display presence than the princess- and forest-based designs.

Released in 2002 in a small edition, the Chernabog lamp is one of the more difficult Kevin and Jody lamps for collectors to find. Because of its size, shape, and fragile materials, condition and completeness matter especially strongly with this piece.

Condition, Boxes, and Release Context

Stained-glass lamps reward careful inspection. Glass, leaded sections, wiring, bronze or resin bases, original boxes, and certificates of authenticity should all be checked before any serious purchase. Weight and fragility also matter for shipping and display.

Original release context is just as important. A Disney Catalog lamp should not automatically be called a Disney Parks item or a Disney Auctions item. The release channel, box artwork, certificate, base markings, and product documentation should guide the description. Collectors who follow this carefully end up with a stronger and more accurate sense of where each piece sits in the Kevin and Jody catalog.

Kevin and Jody Disney Catalog Lamps at Precious Collectibles

Kevin and Jody stained-glass lamps appear infrequently. Disney Catalog releases from the early 2000s have largely sold through, condition varies strongly between examples, and the fragile glass-and-wiring construction means that complete, well-preserved pieces are increasingly rare. At Precious Collectibles, we occasionally offer Kevin and Jody Disney Catalog lamps such as the Bambi and Cinderella lamps when available, and verify glass, leading, wiring, base, original packaging, and certificate before listing any Kevin and Jody lamp.

Collectors tracking a specific lamp that is currently sold out can use the stock notification on the product page to receive an email if it returns to the catalog. To follow new lamp arrivals more broadly, the Collector Alert on the Kevin and Jody category page sends a notification when new Disney Catalog lamps and light-up pieces are added.
